Rockabilly Suit
A Suit to Suit any occasion
Suits are always a great way to go.
Look sharp and you will be noticed. Some signs of a good rockabilly
suit are a skinny collar, slim fit, 2 or more buttons, and a higher
waistline. You can outfit your rockabilly suit with a nice skinny
tie, cuff links, tie tacks or tie bars, wing tip shoes, and a leather
belt. Sharkskin suits attract tons of attention with their high
sheen material, be prepared to drop some cash on a nice sharkskin suit,
but if it's in good shape, and fit or can be easily altered to fit, don't
pass it up!
Zoot Suits are not traditional to rockabilly style, they were more prominent from the 1920's-1940's, but they are still a wild choice, and will turn many heads. Zoot suits are defined by a very high waistline and long coat. To dress up your zoot suit, try a short, fat tie, 2 tone shoes and a long wallet chain.
Western suits offer a little variety to your run of the mill rockabilly suits, they come in hundreds of cuts and colors as well as material, so have a blast, pick out a wild western suit. Some good brands are Wrangler or H Bar C, but don't focus on the label as much as the cut and fit. You can wear the suit with cowboy boots, western shirt and bolo tie, or you can were your shirt with an open collar.
